Background Information
The Dr. Jart+ V7 Product line boasts using 7 different vitamins to help boost skin metabolism while focusing on skin radiance, as well as improving your overall skin health. If you are not familiar with Dr. Jart+, the brand has been a global leader in skincare since it first came into mass market sales in 2005. The brand focuses on serious skincare issues, and is probably most well known for it’s contributions to the BB Cream phenomenon. This line in particular is not available through the US side of the company, as the US company focuses on that particular regions demands. As far as I can tell, this line was only available through it’s Korean retailers, so you may still be able to find this in the US like I did, but you will probably have to go to a local Korean cosmetics store to find it. Dr. Jart+ US products can be found at Sephora.
Product Information
The V7 line boasts about having 7 different vitamins to help with skin radiance and overall skin health.
If you are a fan of products without a lot of ingredients, and having those ingredients be mostly natural, I think you might have to look for something else. There are quite a lot of ingredients in here, so many that I stopped reading halfway down. But, if you desperately need something to get rid of your acne scars, redness, and blemishes that just won’t go away— you’re in luck! This is the product of my your dreams!
How to use:
You can use this as an ointment on blemishes, red spots, and acne scars for your final step of skin care. You may also use this as a thin face cream to improve your complexion and overall skin texture. I have very dry skin, so both of these applications worked very well for me, but if you have oily to combination skin, I do not think applying this on your whole face would be too pleasant for you because it is a thick, ointment consistency.
Does it work?
HELL YES IT WORKS.
Redness and acne scars: I am a gogo dancer, and when I work, I sweat A LOT. That sweat is mixed with layers upon layers of makeup, hair dye, and hairspray that gets deep down into my pores and completely ruins my face. That said, I have had really bad acne scars along my temples and hairline area for almost two years now, and nothing I have done has made them go away. When I received a few samples of this at a local store, I used them right away and my scars started fading within two days. NO LIE. After about two weeks, and I was done with the samples, the marks on my temples were completely gone. Two years on my face, then two weeks of this product and then they’re gone! Can you see why I love this thing now?
But that’s not the only reason. Second is…
Acne and Blemishes: Because of how bad my skin broke out, I no longer dye my hair anymore(and it’s killing me inside), but I still have very acne prone skin. Plus, I’m still in the same job setting, so I’m still wearing tons of makeup and clogging my pores every shift I work. So basically, I break out, it fades a little, then my period comes and I break out again. Rinse. Repeat. The other day I happened to find another sample hidden waaaaay at the back of my skincare drawer and was ecstatic! On that day my skin was really red, really irritated, and my acne was out of control. I used this pretty much all over my face before I went to bed and I woke up and my first thought looking at my face was, “What the hell?” All that irritation and redness I had was somehow gone. I still had acne, of course, but my breakouts were about half as big as they were the day before. It really looked like I was in the last stage of being broken out instead of the first. It was crazy. I didn’t know what happened, and then I remembered I found the Vitalaser.
Then I had to buy it.
I somewhat feel bad reviewing this product when I, myself, could scarcely find it. I had seen it on BeautyNetKorea.com before, but didn’t buy it on there for some strange reason. I think because I had about 3 sample sizes that were going to last me a while. But as of yesterday I couldn’t find this stuff anywhere. I found descriptions of it on sites, but they were sold out. It wasn’t on BeautyNetKorea.com anymore, either. The only place I knew that had it was the local Korean cosmetics store in town that gave me the samples. The only problem with buying there was that it costs $72 there, when on other sites it was around $36-$39. That’s a big price jump. But, today, I talked myself into it because I know I’m going to break out again, because my skin is just that prone to acne, and I know I’ll regret not having it when I need it, and kick myself in the ass if they sell out. But it’s the only thing that’s worked for me, so I don’t feel bad shoveling out the money for it.
I really hope Dr. Jart+ is only revamping the line, and not discontinuing it because the V7 line is truly amazing, and this ointment is fantastic.
PROS: Extremely effective! Works on acne, redness, and acne scars. Leaves skin glowing and even. Miracle in a tube. This is also the last step in your skincare regimen, so you can still pamper your face with sheetmasks and then use this.
CONS: Price ranges from pretty pricey to super expensive. Hard to find. May be(but hopefully not) discontinued.
I hope this review was helpful and piqued your interest in this brand. Even though this particular item may be unavailable to you, the other products they have are very effective, and are always worth the cost, in my honest opinion.
